Descripción
Yellow crystalline acidic compound found in tobacco leaves, forsythia flowers, common rue, and other plants. Rutin is used medicinally for its antioxidant properties and as a colorant. It is yellow upon precipitation, and becomes brown with exposure to heat or light.
