Descripción

Wood of the genus Pterocarpus, native to Africa and Asia. It is typically used for cabinetwork, shipbuilding, flooring, and joinery. The hard and heavy wood is noted for its ability to take a high polish. Varieties used for cabinetwork are usually red or rose color, often variegated with yellow.
