Descripción

Wood of the genus Aesculus, native to North America, southeastern Europe, and eastern Asia. While primarily grown as an ornamental tree, horse chestnuts have light, soft, tough, fine-grained wood used for artificial limbs, splints, brush handles, boxes, crates, and paper pulp.
