Descripción

Sulfuryl fluoride (SO2F2) is a toxic inorganic gas used as a structural fumigant insecticide to control dry-wood termites. It was developed by Dow Chemical Company in the late 1950s and sold under the trade name "Vikane." It more recently has been used as a post-harvest fumigant for dry fruits, nuts, and grains, sold for this use under the trade name "ProFume."
