Descripción

Heavy wooden squares made to enclose the neck of a human being, so that he or she cannot lie down, feed her/himself, or touch her/his head. They were used in the past in China and Chinese-influenced countries to punish people for petty offences. The offender's name and crime were inscribed upon the wood.
