Bombs (explosive weapons)

Projectiles or stationary devices containing both a detonating mechanism and a harmful agent such as an explosive, poison gas, biological poison, or incendiary substance, set off by a time fuse or by impact. For the hollow projectiles containing shrapnel, explosives, incendiary or poisonous chemicals, or other harmful agents, designed to be fired from artillery, use "shells (ammunition)."
