Sharp edged or pointed implements used in Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican cultures to kill victims or simply shed blood as sacrifices to the gods; they take a variety of forms, including manmade objects such as knives and sharp spikes with handles, and natural objects such as thorns and stingray stings.
