Descripción

A low, portable candleholder, usually made of silver, with a wide drip pan and ring or a long handle, which may store a spare candle. It is used to illuminate the liturgical books during pontifical services, and may bear the coat of arms of the reader. It is reserved for a cardinal, bishop, and certain abbots and other high-ranking prelates.
