Descripción
Refers to the period and style that followed the demise of the Mycenaean civilization in the twelfth century BCE, and preceded the emergence of a strong Greek culture. The style is particularly distinctive in vase painting, where earlier motifs were simplified to create abstract patterns and shapes, including concentric arcs and wavy lines.
