Descripción

Kuruwarri is an exclusively male sand design and ceremony of the aboriginal Warlpiri people. These male sand designs are used during story telling to represent the presence of ancestral beings or the procreative strength of their ancestors. Although primarily drawn into sand, these designs may be incised into wood or stone as well as painted onto bodies.
