Organic

In the general sense, describes substances containing carbon compounds, ultimately derived from living organisms. In a more specific sense, with reference to food and other consumer products, produced with no artificial materials, fertilizers, or additives, and, with regard to livestock, in a nonfactory setting with room to move around.
