A liturgical document such as the 'Synodikon of Orthodoxy.' read aloud at particular feasts, especially in the Eastern Orthodox Church. It can also refer to a letter written from one patriarch to another to circulate the decrees of a patriarchal synod, or council. More broadly, it is a declaration signed by members of a synod, affirming decisions.
